THE BENEFITS OF HOT YOGA

The benefits of Hot Yoga extend way beyond just another form of exercise. In fact, it is like no other if you’ve never tried it before. Our series’ are designed for beginners right through to advanced practitioners. Basically, if you can walk yourself into the room, you’ll be able to do this yoga!

We have a variety of classes to choose from. Some vary from class to class for variety and growth in your practice (PowerFlow) and others (Elemental series) are the same postures each time ~ allowing you to build a level of ‘Mastery’ in your ability and to allow the practice to eventually become one more of ‘active meditation’. Hot yoga is a fantastic way to combat negative stress and combines the advantages of meditation with physical exercise to form a mind and body workout like no other.

We have a few class types available to ensure you have variety and the ability to fit your yoga in around your busy schedule. (Warning: After a while, you find yourself scheduling your busy life around your Yoga Schedule!) Our class schedule allows for continued growth on your practice but not so confusing that you never get to work out your Ustrasana from your Ukatasana!!

YOUR FIRST HOT YOGA CLASS

Top tips to help you make the most of your first class

  • Come to your first class at least 15mins early so we can finalise your registration and orientate you into the studio
  • Bring a yoga mat and towel for class (Mat/towel hire available at the studio for $6)
  • Bring a water bottle – you’ll enjoy little sips through the class (frozen is not recommended)
  • Bring a towel for after class (To shower or to protect your car seat – you are going to get very sweaty)
  • Be open to a new experience and know it will take at least 3 classes to know whether hot yoga is for you or not.
  • We have yoga mats, towels, coconut water, post-class recovery smoothies & nutritional support

Elemental

90, 75 or 60 minute classes

27 postures and 2 breathing exercises using a hatha yoga style. Each posture is repeated to ensure a faster patterning of your nervous system, to increase strength and flexibility in a much more efficient way. There is a tremendous wisdom in the way the sequence has been arranged and the second posture increase your results by more than double. This class is suitable for beginners right through to hard core yogis.

Powerflow

60 minute classes

A flowing vinyassa style yoga. An evolving series with added benefits of hip-opening and shoulder strengthening. A brilliant addition to a regular practice to ensure we never ‘stagnate’ and to work different muscle groups and keep the brain alive! This class is suitable for beginners to expert.

Silent Classes

60 minute classes

These classes are set to music in a slightly darkened room (usually by candlelight) for a whole new experience in our signature series, 27 postures and 2 breathing exercises. It is highly recommended that you complete 5-10 or our normal classes before attempting a ‘Silent Class’ due to the lack of instruction. Your teachers will practise alongside you, for you to follow along. A great event to look forward to each week to compliment your regular practice. Suitable for Novices (5-10 Classes) to Advanced students. (Booking is highly recommended due to the popularity of this class.)

Yin

60 minute classes

A gentle, deep stretch yoga class with long holds of up to 5 minutes. Yin is designed to: slowly open muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and joints; break up adhesions; reinvigorate your circulation, lymphatic flow and synovial fluids. A must for every serious yogi and those who want to keep the musculoskeletal system functioning 100%. Suitable for everybody!

VinYin

90 minute classes

A combination of Vinyasa (Power) flow following by deep, gentle yin stretching. A great way to get a healthy workout and then release tension from the body, top to bottom. Highly recommended for all levels.

Mobility Class

60 minute classes

Non-heated class run by one of our doctors of Chiropractic or Body Movement Instructors exploring different ways to use your body. Specifically designed to increase strength and flexibility whist brining normal motion back into the joints and muscles of the body. Inspired by functional movement and adapted to your body type, condition and/or previous injuries. Suitable for everyone and highly recommended to our Chiropractic Members to get the most out of their care programs – for recovery or enhanced wellbeing.

ElementalYin

90 minute classes

Combining the open-eye meditation of the Elemental series to build heat for 55mins and softening into Yin for 35 mins. A perfect way to end a hectic week.
